Operating Guidelines

  • Maintain a library of information containing copies of previous bid applications and other pertinent information. This library is housed and maintained at the City of Red Deer Recreation, Parks, & Culture office.
  • Identify bid opportunities through a contact list and mailing Bid Red Deer information to those contacts. Promote "Bid Red Deer" through the media.
  • Assisting with bid preparation by providing counseling to event organizers, allowing access to information contained in the library, and/or providing loan funding for the development and presentation of bids.

Primary Role

Bid Red Deer's primary roll in bid development is to identify and encourage groups, organizations, and individuals to undertake the bidding for a particular event BUT not to carry out the development of independent bids or take on the role of the event organizer.
